The Project RED development is for the building of a new A&E department at Manchester Royal Infirmary Hospital in the centre of Manchester.
The brief
CSG were appointed during phase 1 to arrange the installation of a 90mm connection with 40mm meter into an external chamber.
Scope of Work
We were then appointed during phase 2 for the installation of a 1,965kwh gas supply to serve 2 duty and one standby boiler, with a 9M rotary meter terminating in governor housing at the boundary.
We managed a re-design of the gas route to avoid ambulance routes into the hospital, to minimise disruption to the existing A&E, and co-ordinated all excavation including within a road and footpath closure to the nearest available gas main.
